Tommie Sue Upton

Mrs. Tommie Sue Upton passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 27, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Tommie was preceded in death by her grandparents; her parents, Thomas Sanders and Karen Sue Bolin Sanders; and her husband, Richard Upton. She is survived by her three siblings, Sharron Marie Sanders, Cynthia Sanders and Timothy Sanders; as well as her adopted son, George Greer, whom she loved as her own.

Tommie Sue was a true angel who would willingly sacrifice herself to help anyone in need, and she will be deeply missed.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at the chapel of Hager Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Bolin officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Graveside services will immediately follow in the sanctuary of Ekron Full Gospel Church of God. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the funeral home to aid the family with expenses.
