Jessie Lee Bush

Mr. Jessie Lee Bush, age 86, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at his residence. Jessie was born in Northtown, KY, on April 23, 1940, the son of Andrew Madison “Kidd” and Hazel Christine (Poynter) Bush.

Jessie was an avid outdoorsman. He had a passion for horses and a love for hard work, specifically when it came to cutting trees down. Jessie lived his life with a generous spirit, always putting others before himself. He was a longtime member of the Louisville Metro Steel Guitar Club and the Teamsters Local 89 Labor Union.

Jessie was preceded in death by his parents; and his four siblings, Charles Bush, Eldon Bush, Shirley Bush Moore and Emogene Bush. He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Bush; two daughters, Kyra Harris and Shirley Bush; two step-sons, William Bishoff and Thomas Eldridge; five grandchildren, Katlynn Eldridge, Stephanie Bishoff, Logan Eldridge, Parker Ann Harris and Blaine Edwards; two sisters-in-law, Cindy Scott and Penny Tower; his brother-in-law, Jeffrey Thomas; his special nephew, Steven Thomas; his great nephew, Cody Bush; his great niece, Chrissy Bentley; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In honoring Jessie’s wishes, the family has chosen cremation with no public services to be held. Hager Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
