Scotty Ray Skaggs

Mr. Scotty Ray Skaggs, age 50, of Guston, KY, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024, at the University of Louisville Hospital.  He was born September 1, 1974, in Louisville, KY.

     Scotty was a plumber by trade, and a longtime member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #502.  He had a passion for riding motorcycles, but mostly, when not working, he could be found with someone in his family.  Scotty had a selfless heart and always thought first of his wife, daughters, or grandchildren, before himself.

     Scotty was preceded in death by his father, Larry Lee Skaggs; and his grandmother, Alvina Benningfield.  He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Amy Skaggs; his two daughters, Paige (Gary) Barger, and Hailey (Devin) Harper; his grandchildren, Waylon Barger and Dallas Harper; his brothers, Terry (Debbie) Skaggs, and Doug Skaggs; his step mother, Mariann Skaggs; his uncles, Wayne (Margie) Skaggs, and Mike White; his cousin, Terry Ray (Pati) Skaggs; his nieces, Heather (Ryan) Ciaburri, Malleigh (Hailee) Toler, and Presleigh Riddell; his great niece and nephew, Maci and Jaxson Ciaburri; his mother-in-law, Linda Riddell; and his brother-in-law, Jimmy Riddell.

     Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the Tabernacle of Worship, with Rev. Lida Bain officiating.  Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday.  Hager Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society; or to the Tabernacle of Worship.
