Lora "Faye" Swift

Lora “Faye” Swift, age 79, of Hardinsburg, KY, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026, at home surrounded by her loving family. 

She was born on August 19, 1946, in Fuget, KY, daughter of the late Bruce LeMaster and Ethel Burchett LeMaster. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Maggie McAlpine, Rosemary Romans, Christine Vance, Ella Stacy; and brother, Raymond LeMaster. 

Faye was a graduate of Meade County High School, a faithful member of Tompkinsville First Baptist Church, and worked as a waitress for Green Valley Restaurant in Irvington, KY, for many years. She was a kind spirit, who loved making new friends, and was well known in the community for her friendly personality. Above all else, Faye enjoyed caring for her husband, children, and grandchildren who dearly called her “Mamaw Faye”. She enjoyed making them meals, sharing stories, and spending time together. Her unconditional love, and warm hugs will remain in their hearts forever.

She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Phillip Swift; children, Kurtis (Holly) Swift, Michael Swift, Sherry Swift; sisters, Loretta (Carl) Blanketship, Della Herndon, Lola (Ronald) Horseman, Nila (Lonnie) Seegert, Debra (Bob) Davis, Lenora (Sam) Russell, and Shelia (Danny) Meadows; along with nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. 

Visitation will be held at Alexander Funeral Home on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 12:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M (CDT) or 1:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. (EDT) and again on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 8:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. (CDT) or 9:00 A.M to 2:00 P.M. (EDT)

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home on Saturday, July 25, 2026, beginning at 1:00 P.M. (CDT) or 2:00 P.M. (EDT) with Bro. Devin Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, located in Irvington. Funeral dinner will follow.
