William Samuel Frazier, age 73, of Webster, KY, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024 at his home with his family by his side.
He was born on August 29, 1950 in Webster, KY, son of the late Wise Slimp Frazier and Anna Hunter Frymire. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Mac Frazier; and sister-in-law, Janice Frazier.
William, lovingly known as “Sam” and “Sammy,” was a charmer. He sold industrial coatings for Porter Paint for over 25 years before he became a full-time “Paps,” where he was an expert at “sitting in his chair and looking pretty.” He was a jack of all trades and was great at everything, including being a wonderful gardener, the best Uber driver in the county, and the mayor of Dead Horse Holler. He was an avid Greenwaves and Wildcats fan; if he wasn’t bleeding green he was bleeding blue. He was very witty and had a tremendous sense of humor. Above all else, Sam was a family man. He was extremely dedicated to his family and held them close to his heart, especially his grandkids, which were his pride and joy. He was a loving husband, brother, daddy, Paps, and friend, and will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Becky Frazier; children, Sydnei (Jeff) Cox and Ashley (Chad) Ledford, both of Webster; grandchildren, Kaden (Mimi Stull) Moore, Kase Moore, Kaelyn Ledford, Kennedy Ledford, and Kypten Ledford; brothers, Hugh Frazier of Louisville, and Joe (Sheila) Frazier of Webster; sister-in-law, Sue Frazier of Webster; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, from 1-8:00 P.M.
A private burial will be held at the Raymond Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date.
