Marlene Frey

Mrs. Marlene Bresch  Frey, age 88, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at Brandenburg Nursing and Rehab. 

Marlene was born on October 14th, 1936 in Hochstadt am Main, Lichentensfel, Germany to the late Eugen Bresch and Paula Bresch nee Schwarz. Marlene was married to the late Roger Eugene Frey on May 20th, 1961. Marlene was also preceded in death by her son, Jurgen “Jake” Frey. Marlene and Jurgen both became American citizens on April 27th, 1966.

Marlene and Jake were baptized at New Brandenburg Baptist Church on May 1st, 1994. Marlene loved her Lord Marlene was a devoted wife, mother and church member. In spite of her physical challenges, she was very faithful in attending Bible Study and Worship services.

Marlene is survived by her sisters, Lydia Berger and Doris Bresch; her brother Walter Bresch; a special friend, Amy Boyer; and two nieces: Sonja and Doris Berger of Germany.

Marlene will be deeply missed by all those who visited with her.

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. at the Bruington Jenkins Sturgeon Funeral home on Thursday, February 20th, 2025. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Bro. Tim Harris and Bro. Tom Bridge officiating. Burial will follow in Cap Anderson Cemetery.
