Neleda Ann (Phillips) Allen

Neleda "Nita" Ann (Phillips) Allen, 66, of Wolf Creek, Kentucky, passed away on August 17, 2026, at her home. She was born on February 23, 1960, in Liberty, Kentucky, to Phillip Morris Phillips and Anna Mae Phillips.

Nita built a distinguished career in real estate, owning and operating Kentucky Heritage Realty. She was deeply involved in the Heart of Kentucky Association of REALTORS, where she served as President in 2016 and was named Realtor of the Year in 2014. Her dedication to the profession earned her the Fraisur Reesor Service Award and a place on the Wall of Honor in 2024. She was a passionate advocate for homeownership and private property rights, serving as a KYR RPAC Trustee and RPAC Major Investor.

Beyond her career, Nita was known for her generous spirit and active involvement in her community, lending her time and energy to numerous local organizations and causes.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen “Kent” Allen of Wolf Creek; her daughters, Savannah Andrews (Zach) and Hannah Sadler (Drew); her grandchildren, Gavin Sadler, Ellie Andrews, and Abram Andrews; her mother, Anna Mae Phillips; her brother, Anthony “Tony” Phillips (Brenda); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Phillip Morris Phillips, and her sister, Abigail Hancock (Jeff).

Visitation will be held at Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home (198 Lawrence Street, Brandenburg, KY) on Friday, August 21st from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM and Saturday, August 22nd from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM on Saturday. Burial will take place at Cap Anderson Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Habitat for Humanity in Nita’s memory.
