Lisa Ann Akers

Ms. Lisa Ann Akers, age 64, of Rockport, IN, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at her residence.  Lisa was born August 11, 1960, the daughter of Lacie and Zellia Akers.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, GySgt (Ret.) Allen Akers; and three sisters, Linda Lou Lucas, Lucille Noe, and Minnie Greene.  She is survived by her son, Phillip Akers, Rockport, IN; three brothers, Malcolm Akers, Grandview, IN, Vernon Akers and his wife, Tonya, Charlestown, IN, and Christopher Akers, Payneville, KY; and five sisters, Paulette Hunt, Lena Mae Brown, both of Penrod, KY, Christine Akers, Greenview, KY, Evelyn Smith, Stephensport, KY, and Theresa Cockerel and her husband, Cecil, Big Clifty, KY.

Lisa’s family has chosen cremation with no public services to be held.  Hager Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to any Humane Society in Lisa’s name.
