Linda Carol Whelan

Linda Carol Whelan, 77, of Vine Grove, KY, died Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Baptist Health Louisville.

She served as the director of the Meade County clothing closet and food pantry for many years, demonstrating her commitment to the community. Additionally, she was a dedicated grandmother, cherishing her role in her family's life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Earl Whelan; parents, John and Wanda Robinson, a granddaughter, Megan Meadows; and a brother, John A. Robinson.

She is survived by her two children, April (Paul) Ellis and Eric (Deloris) Meadows; five grandchildren, Alexandria (Michael) Harris, Angelica (Elijah) Roeder, Erika Meadows, Joshua Hacker and Bayleigh Meadows; eleven great grandchildren; and a sister, Vicky (Lonnie) Grogg.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Vine Grove, KY.   Burial will be in St. Martin of Tours Church Cemetery in Flaherty.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at the funeral home.
