Mrs. Judy Ethel Golladay, of Brandenburg, KY, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. Judy was born in Louisville, Kentucky on April 5, 1946. The youngest daughter of Virgil and Della Silvers, she had an especially close relationship with her three older sisters Bonnie, Betty, & Barbara and her cousin, Peggy. Judy married her childhood sweetheart, Floyd, in October of 1962 and they embarked on a journey that would span nearly six decades. Together they built a log home, a few churches, a large family, and an incredible life. Judy had a heart for service and coupled with her generous spirit, she spent her life devoted to tending to the needs of others. She had five children, 15 grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren but Judy was a mother and grandmother to many more people. Everyone who walked through the door of her home was accepted, loved, and welcomed with open arms. She exuded dignity and grace every day of her life and those who knew her were better for it. Judy’s faith in Christ flowed into every aspect of her life and that faith was her strength as she ended her earthly life exactly as she lived it every day, pointing those around her to Jesus.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Bonnie Mauldin; husband, Floyd; and her beloved grandson, Josh Marr. She is survived by her son, Tony Golladay and his wife, Arlene; daughters, Joy Marr, Tina Stallings and her husband, Chris, Angie Woodburn and her husband, Mike, and Becca Edens and her husband, Bud; as well as 15 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, all of whom were the lights of her life.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Meade County General Baptist Church with her son, Pastor Tony Golladay officiating. Burial will follow in Cap Anderson Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church.
