Johnny "Junie" Putnam Wren, Jr., 69, of Vine Grove, KY, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 6, 2024.


Johnny was always a hard worker. He was still working in the sanitation Department at Fort Knox where he has worked since he was 15. He was a good father and set a great example for his family.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Nellie and Johnny Wren four siblings, Norma Wheeler, Howard Wren, Sharon Mitchell and Betty Jo Lawson.


He is survived by his three children, Johnny L. (Angela) Wren of Frankfort, KY, Cheryl Lynn (Jason) Lei-Sam of Destin, FL and John Aaron Wren of Vine Grove, KY; five grandchildren, Brittany (Ricky) Kerrigan, Abby Wren, Ashley (Chris) Thompson, Acacia (Ethan Gordon) Lei-Sam and Jason Lei-Sam; two great grandchildren, Richard Kerrigan, IV and Ace Thompson and five siblings, Ronnie Wren, Daryl Wren, Michael Wren, Patsy Nunn and Sheila Medley.



Visitation will be on Friday, February 9, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Vine Grove, KY.
