James Edward Popham, Sr. went to be with our loving Lord, Sunday, July 20, 2025,

surrounded by his wife, 10 children and their spouses.
Jim graduated from Marmion Academy in Illinois. He married his wife Anna and began a 32-year career as a pressman and foreman at Standard Gravure. He pursued his passion for farming his whole life. He was a devoted family man and a lifelong member of St Theresa Parish. He was one of the oldest living members of the Knights of Columbus, St Theresa Council.
He loved his horses and dogs and dancing with Anna. He loved big family gatherings. He is cherished by his family for his humor, singing, and his true moral compass.
Jim was preceded in death by his loving parents Mike and Mildred Popham, and siblings, Michael, John, and Paul.He is survived by his loving devoted wife of 65 years, Anna (Fackler) Popham; ten children, Donna Ghaderi, Mark (Susan), Richard (Kay), Sarah Hartlage, Chris, Kelly (Sharon), Jimmy (Christy), Julie Nevitt, Jessica (Jason) Craven, and Danny (Katie); sisters, Anna Mary Barr, Dorothy (Buck) Jarboe, and Catherine (Bill) Hunt; brothers, Wilfrid Popham, Bobby (Judy) Popham, and Larry Popham; 33 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home on Thursday, July 24, 2025, from 4-7:00 P.M. EDT with a prayer service at 6:00 P.M. lead by Deacon Greg Beavin. Visitation will continue at St. Theresa Church (9245 Rhodelia Rd, Payneville, KY 40157) on Friday, from 9-12:00 Noon EDT.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresas Church in Rhodelia on Friday July 25, 2025, at 12:00 Noon EDT with Father George Illikkal and Father “Bud” Ray officiating. Burial will follow in St. Theresa Church Cemetery.
