Brittany Lee Smallwood

Brittany L. Smallwood, 36, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026, in Lexington, KY, surrounded by her family. She was the former Brittany Vincent born on May 6, 1990, in Louisville, KY to Robert Vincent and the late Melissa Miller. 

Brittany grew up an active member of Ormsby Heights Baptist Church. She was a loyal employee of Walmart for the past 16 years. She spent her time being a mother to all, whether it be an animal or a child. She had a soft spot and a fierce need to protect any and all. She was an enthusiastic talker and loved to be silly with her children. 

She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Dallas Vincent; mother, Melissa Miller; and sister, Lindsay Miller. 

She is survived by her husband, Nicholas Shutters; children, Addisen Bryant, Avery Smallwood, Aubrey Smallwood, Quinn Shutters, Charlie Howard, and Chandler Shutters; grandparents, Patricia Vincent, Harry “Bill” and Carlette Miller; parents, Robert and Allison Vincent; sisters, Bridgette (Matthew) Koch and Brooke (Eric) Longley; and brothers, Jason (Brittany) Perry and Bryan (Daisy) Nuener; aunts and uncles; and nieces and nephews she loved dearly.

Visitation will be held at the Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home in Brandenburg, KY on Saturday, May 23, 2026 from 12-6:00 P.M. and on Sunday, May 24, 2026 from 12-5:00 P.M. 

Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, May 24, 2026 at 5:00 P.M. with Bro. Chris Ward officiating.
