Clifford L. Brown, 79, of Corydon, Indiana, died Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at his home near Corydon. He was born November 26, 1946 in Columbia, Kentucky.
Clifford was a devoted husband, loving father, grandpa, great grandpa, brother and friend. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity and the gentle way he touched lives of everyone he met. He loved sending time with his family, working on vehicles and lawn mowers, doing stuff at church and gardening.
He was formerly employed with the Harrison County Parks Department at Hayswood Park near Corydon, with Longbottom & Hardsaw in Central, Indiana, with Keller Manufacturing Company in Corydon, with Smith Cabinets in New Salisbury, Indiana, and with Jefferson Piping in Louisville, Kentucky, was a member of the Heth Township Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years, was a bus driver and janitor for the South Central Schools near Elizabeth, Indiana, was the owner of B&B Auto Repair near Mauckport, Indiana, and was a member of Central Bethel Community Church in Central.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Lee Brown and Audra Hadley Morgan; his father-in-law, Wib Wiseman; his mother-in-law, Bonnie Wiseman; his sister, Mary Hendricks; his brothers, Buddy Brown and Danny Morgan; and his granddaughter, Ashley Kelley.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Mary L. Wiseman Brown; his daughters, Penny Kelley (Patrick), Sarah Weible (Donny), and Deborah Brown; his grandsons, Michael Kelley (Megan) and DJ Weible; his granddaughter, Bridget Parr (Adam); his great grandchildren, Kaylor Kelley, Jackson Parr, Ashley Parr, Kole Kelley, Belle Parr, and Kinsley Kelley; his sisters, Jody Dieruf (Bill) and Brenda Menges (Russell); and his brothers, Rick Morgan (Melissa) and Kenneth Morgan (Rhonda).
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Pastor Jerry Shelley will officiate. Burial will be in Central Cemetery in Central.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Saturday and after 10:00 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Michael Kelley, Megan Kelley, Kaylor Kelley, Bridget Parr, Adam Parr, and Elvis Runyon. Honorary pallbearers will be Patrick Kelley, DJ Weible, Donny Weible, Jackson Parr, and Ashley Parr.
The family request that expressions of sympathy be made to the Heth Township Volunteer Fire Department or to Central Cemetery.
