Mrs. Maggie (Powers) Love, age 77, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Maggie was born on February 2, 1949, the daughter of Joseph Edward and Margaret Catherine (Peak) Powers.
Maggie was a longtime parishioner of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church and retired from Civil Service after a lengthy career as the coordinator of the Camp Memorial Blood Bank. She also served her community on the Brandenburg City Council for 20 years. Maggie adored her entire family, but her granddaughters were truly special in her heart.
Maggie was preceded in death by her parents; and four brothers, Marion “Buddy”, Frank, Kenny, and Larry Powers. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Danny Love; four children, Rusty Love, Brian (Bridget) Love, Amy (Chuck) Haynes, and Chris (Sandy) Love; 7 granddaughters, Morgan (Jason) Hines, Casey Love (Chockie), Meg (Tristan) Waddle, Ella Haynes, and Danica, Zoe, and Brooklynn Love; three great grandchildren, Harrison Lane and Anna Hines, and Ellee Waddle; her sister, Mary Jo (Ralph) Elliott; and her brother, Joseph (Lin) Powers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 13, 2026, at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, with Father Michael Martin officiating. Burial will follow in St. George Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, and at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of mass on Monday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Heart Association.
