Mr. Greg. L. “Chicken Man” Allen, age 63, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at U of L Health, Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY. Greg was born on May 27, 1961, the son of Chester Lawrence and Nina Fern (Bishoff) Allen.
Greg was a longtime employee for the State Highway Department. He loved riding motorcycles and attending Bike rallies. He enjoyed people and hanging out with his family and friends. Greg could always be found hanging out and singing karaoke at the SHOP in Brandenburg.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Danny Allen; his maternal grandparents, Alpha and Zula Bishoff; and his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Ida Mae Allen. He is survived by three sons, Steven Allen and his wife, Heather, Bobby Allen, and James Wolf; 9 grandchildren, Christian, Cheyenne, and Chason Allen, Kenzie Hazelwood, Alexis Dever, Damien Trent, Jacob and Kaleb Dodson, and Abby and Chloe; his brother, Jonathan Allen; and three sisters, Jeanie Campbell, Becky Goatley, and Amy Whitlow.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 14, 2025, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Gary Benham officiating. Burial will follow in Cap Anderson Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, and from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Friday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the funeral home to aid the family with expenses.
