Donita Gail Blair, age 62 of Webster, KY went to be with the Lord on June 6, 2025 in Louisville, KY.
She was born on June 11, 1962 in Hardinsburg, KY daughter of Mona Sue Lucas Gross and the late Delmer Ray Gross, Sr. Along with her father, Donita was preceded in death by her grandparents, whom she loved dearly, James Henry and Gertie Mae Gross.
Donita was a member of Faith Community Church and attended Bethel Fellowship Church. She always volunteered at church and loved to work with children, including Vacation Bible School. She was the 4H horse club leader and received an award for Leader of the Year. She wasn’t afraid of new things, and even went back to school at 50 years old and earned a college degree. She was an excellent wife, sister, daughter, and mother to many. She was the director of Coloring for a Cure and loved the joy it brought to the children in Norton Children’s Hospital. She was also the best Mamaw around, loving her grandchildren, serving as their protector, and keeping them overnight anytime she could.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Doug Blair; mother, Mona Sue Gross; children, Tabitha (Joe) Taylor, Faith (Jordan) Barrett, Caleb (Ally) Blair, Makayla “Sug” Blair, Gena (Jayce) Chapman, Eva Rose Blair; sister, Juanita (Howard) Carwile; brother, Delmer Ray (Rebecca) Gross, Jr.; grandchildren, Dalton (Savannah) Taylor, Logan (Alissa) Taylor, Garrett (Abby Dupin) Taylor, Dinah, Isabella, Sarah, Gabriel, Ramah, and Cyrus; great-grandchildren, Everleigh, Oakleigh, Georgia, and Baby Taylor; and several nieces, nephews, bonus children, and friends.
