Betty Lou (McCormick) Tyler

Mrs. Betty Lou (McCormick) Tyler, age 84, of Hanover, PA, formerly of La Grange, KY, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at her residence. 

Mrs. Tyler was born October 25, 1940, the daughter of Ireland and Birdie (Armstrong) McCormick. She graduated from Ahrens Trade School in 1958. She was a secretary, a homemaker, and a diligent mother to her three beloved sons. While living in KY, she attended the local Baptist church. At age 82, she moved to Hanover, PA to live with her son and daughter-in-law and to be near two of her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. Nothing brought a smile to her face faster than getting to watch her great-grandchildren playing around her. While in PA, she attended the Gettysburg Church of Christ.

Mrs. Tyler was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Billy Joe Tyler; her son, Charles Wayne Sadler; and her siblings, Bea Preston, Elliott McCormick, Della Pearl, and Gertha Elms.  She is survived by her sons, Alan Brian Sadler of Hanover, PA, and Michael Ray Sadler of LaGrange, KY; siblings Nelda Taylor, William McCormick, Joyce Dennison, and Charles McCormick; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at the chapel of Hager Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Cap Anderson Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
