WMMG To Host Local Candidate Debate Ahead of 2026 General Election

WMMG is excited to announce a debate for local candidates in the upcoming 2026 General Election.

The event is set for Thursday, October 22nd beginning at 6:00 PM Eastern Standard Time at the Meade County Farm Bureau Community Building on Meade County Fairgrounds. The debate will feature candidates from the Brandenburg City mayoral race, the Meade County Judge Executive Race, and the 27th District State Representative race.

The 2026 General Election will be held Tuesday, November 3rd. In Meade County, the window to request a mail-in absentee ballot will be open September 19th through October 20th. Excused in person absentee voting will take place October 21st, 22nd, and 23rd and again October 26th, 27th, and 28th at the Meade County Clerk's Office in Brandenburg. No excuse in person absentee voting will be held October 29th, 30th, and 31st at the Meade County Public Library.
