William Harold Hardin

William Harold Hardin, age 82 of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 in Elizabethtown, KY.

He was born on November 16, 1942 in Battletown, KY, son of the late Georgia Lee Greer Hardin and Charles Samuel Hardin; along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Dorothy Hardin, Loretta Swink, Barbara Jean “Jeanie” Miller, and Martha Nell Heavrin; brother, Jessie James Hardin; and son-in-law, Rodger Greenwell.

William worked for the Kentucky state highway department in Elizabethtown as a heavy equipment operator for 33 years.  He loved to garden, do farm work, and hunt, especially for groundhogs and rabbits.  William loved talking with his buddies and exchanging tales.  

He is survived by his daughter, Crystal Greenwell of Brandenburg; grandson, Matthew Greenwell; stepsons, David (Lisa) Laslie, James (Carla) Laslie, Jeff (Edwina) Laslie, and Barry (Angela) Laslie.

Visitation will be held at the Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home in Brandenburg, on Friday, July 11, 2025 from 2-3:00 P.M. 

Funeral services will be held at the Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home on Friday, July 11, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. with Deacon Greg Beavin officiating, burial will be in Cap Anderson Cemetery, Brandenburg, KY.
