Will F. Helms, a beacon of selfless love and faith, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2024, at his home in Vine Grove, Kentucky, at the age of 92 surrounded by his family.
Will's journey through life was shared with his loving wife of 71 years, Clara Mae Helms. Together, they created a legacy of love and devotion that was evident in every aspect of their lives. He was a cherished father to his three daughters, Sharon Fields and her husband, Jim whom was his favorite son in law; Glynda Vinton; and Kim Helms. He took immense pride in his role as a grandfather to Charla Fields, Todd Vinton and his wife, Deanna, Jimbo Fields and his wife, Katie, and Troy Vinton and his wife, Terri. Will was a loving great grandfather to his five great-grandchildren, Bailley Becker, Caleb Vinton, Daylen Fields, Brayden Vinton, and Addisen Vinton. He was also a proud great great grandfather to Hayes Becker, and looked forward to welcoming another whom is on the way.
His commitment to faith was unwavering. As a long-standing member of Valley View Baptist Church in Vine Grove, KY, Will served as a deacon and took great pride in caring for the church grounds. Will was a dedicated member of the Vine Grove Lodge 603 F&AM, Vine Grove, KY for 65 years and he was a proud veteran of the United States Army.
Mr. Helms will be remembered as a loving husband and father who provided for his family. And you could not ask for any more than that.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY and from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Valley View Baptist Church, Vine Grove, KY.
Funeral services for Mr. Helms will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Valley View Baptist Church, Vine Grove, KY with Brother Ron Burgess officiating. Burial will follow at North Hardin Memorial Gardens, Radcliff, KY.
