David Michael Hartlage

Mr. David Michael Hartlage, age 70, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at his residence. David was born on September 28, 1955, the son of Edward Leo and Alma Lynette (Dohn) Hartlage.

David did many things throughout his life. Most notably, he was a longtime employee at Cox’s Variety and Garden Center, where he formed many lasting friendships.

David was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, William Hartlage. He is survived by his sister, Charlene Satterly; two brothers, Paul Hartlage and Thomas (Reesie) Hartlage; his sister-in-law, Doris Hartlage; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A celebration of David’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at the chapel of Hager Funeral Home with Father Randy Hubbard officiating. Burial will follow in St. George Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
