Mr. Thomas Michael Cain, age 77, of Brandenburg, KY, and lastly Port Charlotte, FL, passed away on Friday, April 25, of acute respiratory failure. Born in Louisville, KY, on April 24, 1948, to Tommy and Mary Cain, he was a proud career military member of the United States Air Force and Kentucky Air National Guard.
Thomas loved the water and devoted time to obtaining his Captains license of up to 100 ton vessels. This allowed him to enjoy a lifetime of being on the water and fulfill a personal goal. He was his best self at the helm of a boat and encouraged all around him to enjoy life in the sun. He was also an avid NASCAR fan who devoted his Sunday afternoons to the sport.
Thomas was preceded in death by his loving wife, Roycelyne Cain. He is survived by his son Brandon; his daughter, Monique; three sisters, Debbie, Anita, and Edith; seven brothers, Donald, Paul, David, Moses, Kerry, Marty, and Christopher.
A memorial service, with military honors, will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Jerry Shacklett officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon until the time of service on Sunday. Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY.
