Teresa Kay Osborne

Ms. Teresa Kay Osborne, age 54, of Battletown, KY, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at UofL Hospital. Teresa had a love for horses and found endless joy in riding them. She was very creative. You could always find Teresa sewing quilts by hand or in her garden, where she loved to nurture flowers and vegetable plants. Above all, Teresa loved people. Her home was a welcoming haven where everyone was treated like family.

Teresa was preceded in death by her father who raised her, James Edward Mitchell. She is survived by her mother, Alice Faye (Tanner) Jenkins; two children, Sarah Jane Schroeder and Douglas James “DJ” Schroeder; numerous grandchildren; four siblings, Allison Osborne, Nathan Osborne, Laurie Mitchell Case and Bobby Mitchell; her former husband, Douglas John Schroeder; and many other friends and family who loved her.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, on Monday, July 6, 2026, at the chapel of Hager Funeral Home with Sister Robin Brown officiating. Burial will follow in North Hardin Memorial Gardens in Radcliff, KY. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Monday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the funeral home to aid the family with funeral expenses.
