Stella Ann Carver, 72, of Mauckport, died Saturday, January 6, 2024, at her home near Mauckport. She was born August 18, 1951, in Harrison County, Indiana, to the late William H. and Virgie Neal Huckleby. She was a retired owner/operator with her husband, Terry, at Ace Doran Hauling & Rigging Company, was formerly employed at the Big Blue Store and Donahue’s Café both in Corydon, and was a member of Mauckport Community Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Raymond Huckleby; and her sisters, Wanda Elgan and Aletha Baer.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Terry Carver; her son, John D. Roberts of New Albany, Indiana; her daughters, Tracy Daniels (William) of Clarksville, Indiana and Tonya Smily (Bobby) of Brandenburg, Kentucky; and her very close friends, Ronnie, Colleen, Allyssa and Breanna Edwards.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Rev. Richard Goodwin will officiate. Burial will be in Wolfe Cemetery near Georgetown, Indiana.
Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Gary Gilley, Buddy Lawrence, Ronnie Edwards, Larry Baker, Bobby Smiley and Charles Tindall. Honorary pallbearers will be Andy, Kyle and John Eschbacher, and Colleen, Allyssa and Breanna Edwards.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to Amedisys Hospice or Wolfe Cemetery.
