Ronald "Ronnie" Howell

   Ronald “Ronnie” Howell, age 82 of Irvington, KY passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side, on Thursday, February 8, 2024.

   He was born in Murphy Fork, KY on May 17, 1941, son of the late Thomas Charles Howell and Lucille McCoy Howell.  Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Mary Ann Hardin Howell; and brothers, Charles Maxwell, Gary Howell, and Terry Howell.

   Ronnie was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran.  He retired from Gateway Press after 42 years of service.  He loved Golf, Horse Racing, and his yearly trips to Panama City, FL.  He was a family man who loved hosting get togethers, and his grandkids will always talk about his famous “turtle fry’s”.

   He is survived by his children, Lisa Elderidge of Irvington, Traci (Dale) Brauner of Mt. Washington; and Todd (Kayla) Howell of Irvington; grandchildren, Beth, Byron, Nicholas, & Meghan; great-grandchildren, Morgan, Molly, Kayden, Greyson, Kinley, Carson, & Carly; sister, Margaret Moore; and brother, Ricky (Margie) Howell.

   Visitation will be held at the Alexander Funeral Home in Irvington on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 from 1-8:00 P.M. EST and Wednesday after 9:00 A.M. EST.

   Funeral Services will be held from the Alexander Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. EST with Brother Carlie Ross officiating.  Burial will follow next to his wife in the Bethel Cemetery, Irvington, KY.
