Ronald Gene "Ronnie" Tichenor

Mr. Ronald Gene “Ronnie” Tichenor, age 52, of Vine Grove, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY. Ronnie was born on December 8, 1971, the son of Benny and Cora Lillian (Milby) Tichenor.

Ronnie was known to be the jack of all trades, always being able to fix anything.  He was an excellent handyman and was considered by his wife and others to be a genius. He also enjoyed collecting coins and added to his collection at every opportunity.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents; a nephew, Wyatt Johnson; his mother-in-law, Martha Stevens; and two brothers-in-law, Kelly and Randy Powell. He is survived by his wife, Wendy Tichenor; two sons, Ronald Benjamin “Ben” Tichenor and Shawn Douglas Tichenor; nine siblings, Monty (Kathy) Tichenor, of Bowling Green, KY, Kathy (Steve) McCarthy, of Brandenburg, KY, Troy (Paula) Tichenor, of Irvington, KY, William Matney, of Brandenburg, KY, Bonita (Leon) Scott, of Vine Grove, KY, Donna (Todd) Goodin, of Vine Grove, KY, Maureen Powell, of Ekron, KY, Loretta (Tom) Thompson, of Guston, KY, and Mandy (Chris) Gregory, of Louisville, KY; three sisters-in-law, Theresa Nance, of IN, Christy (Larry) Tolson, of Vine Grove, KY, and Rickey (Larry) Adle, of Ekron, KY; a brother-in-law, Bear (Tonya) Sallee, of Payneville, KY, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at the chapel of Hager Funeral Home with Rev. Robin Brown officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Wednesday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the funeral home to aid the family with the funeral expenses.
