Robert Eugene “Bob” Reichmuth, Sr.

Mr. Robert Eugene “Bob” Reichmuth, Sr. passed away in the presence of his family on Friday, September 5, 2025.  Bob was born on May 25, 1942 to the late Balz and Lily (Watson) Reichmuth.

            Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Doris Jean “Dottie” Davis; his brother, Richard Reichmuth; two children, Sheila Jo Wade and Robin Dale Reichmuth; and two grandsons, Craig Reichmuth and Joseph “Peanut” Jones.  He is survived by his wife, Barbara; four children, Darla (Troy) Jones, Joe (Tammy) Reichmuth, Bobby (Becky) Reichmuth, and Becky Carmon; his daughter-in-law, Mary Reichmuth; 14 grandchildren, Jason and Jarrett Jones, Jordan Reichmuth, Lacey Lechman, Natalie Dowell, Alicia, Bobby, and Brian Reichmuth, Amanda and D.J. Smith, Tyra and Tylar Reichmuth, and Breanna and Cody Wade; 23 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandson.

            Bob was owner/operator of Reichmuth Trucking until 1982 when he went to work as a diesel mechanic at Allied Ready Mix until his retirement in 2005.  Upon retirement, Bob poured all he had into his family, whether it was hunting, fishing, or camping.  He enjoyed being involved in whatever his grandkids were doing, including all projects, events, and maybe even a few shenanigans.  He was always there for his family and loved each of them deeply.

            Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, September 8, 2025,  at the chapel of Hager Funeral Home, with Bob’s daughter-in-law, Tammy officiating.  Burial will follow in Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Monday.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the family to aid in expenses.  Online condolences may be left at www.hagerfuneralhome.com.
