Paul Rankin

Paul Mason Rankin, age 94, of Guston, KY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 13, 2025.

He was born on April 13, 1931, in Hardinsburg, KY, to the late Lewis Rankin and Flonie Lyons. A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Paul lived a life of dedicated service, to his country, his community, and most of all, his faith.

Paul retired from Ford Motor Company in Louisville, KY, and devoted much of his life to ministry. He served as a beloved pastor for many years in both Louisville and Meade County, including nearly two decades at Cannon Land Indiana Baptist Church. He also shared the gospel through his radio ministry, touching countless lives beyond the walls of his church. As a long-time member of Grace Baptist Church in Guston, KY, Paul was known for his kind heart, steadfast spirit, and unwavering commitment to caring for his parishioners.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Aline Roby Rankin; his children, Roger, Pamila, and Timothy Rankin; his brothers, Gilbert, Albert, and his twin brother Robert Rankin; and his sisters, Louise Carwile, Virginia Rankin, and Mable Stinnett.

Left to cherish his memory is his sister, Birdie Teller of Hardinsburg, KY, along with many nieces and nephews who will remember him for his wisdom, compassion, and faith-filled life.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. EDT with funeral services beginning at 7:00 P.M. at Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home. Burial will follow, at Bethany Cemetery in Louisville, KY.
