Man stabbed at Meade County bar

On Saturday, June 15, shortly after midnight, Meade County Dispatch received a call about an altercation occurring at Bob’s Bar at 6419 Flaherty Road (formerly the Rainbow Tavern). According to Meade Cou Ty Sheriff Phillip Wimpee, it was reported that a physical altercation occurred, and a male individual had been stabbed. While deputies were enroute to the call it was reported that shots had been fired at the location also. Deputies from the Meade County Sheriff’s Office requested the assistance of Muldraugh Police Department, Vine Grove Police Department and Kentucky State Police.


Law Enforcement arrived on scene and secured the area allowing Meade County EMS and Flaherty Fire Department to begin rendering medical assistance to the injured individual. The individual was transported by ambulance to a hospital in Louisville. The suspects involved had fled the scene prior to Law Enforcement’s arrival.
