Linda L. Brumfield

Linda Lou (Butler) Brumfield was born on October 17, 1939, in Irvington, Kentucky, the only child of Forrest and Helen (Wells) Butler.  She passed away peacefully among her family on Dec. 25, 2023, in Prospect, KY.  She was 84 years old.  She was married to the late Paul Bernell Brumfield of Stephensport, Ky. for 56 years.  She is survived by her two daughters, Tammy Brumfield Godwin and Debbie Brumfield Gibbs (Gary), and three grandchildren, Hadley Gibbs (Isaiah Blackwell), Duncan Gibbs (Miranda), and Jacob Gibbs (Alexandra).

She was deeply committed to being a loving and supportive mother, wife, and grandmother, was blessed with life-long friends, and enjoyed gardening, her home, and her nearly fifteen years of being a small business owner in Irvington (Norfield’s Shoes) alongside dear friends/business partners Keith and Rita Norton.

Everyone is invited to join in a time of visitation on Saturday, January 13, between 2:00 and 5:00pm E.T. at Alexander Funeral Home, 509 Spring St., Irvington, KY  40146.  A private burial service will be held at a future date.
