In Loving Memory of James Kevin Stephens,

James “Kevin” Stephens, 60, passed away on May 29, 2026 leaving behind a family who loved him deeply and will miss him forever.

Above all else, he was a loving father to his two daughters, who were the pride and joy of his life. He loved them unconditionally and cherished every moment he spent with them. His love for his family was constant, even during the difficult battles he faced.

Kevin struggled with alcoholism for many years. Addiction is a disease that touched many parts of his life, and despite his strength and efforts, it ultimately became a battle he could not overcome. While his disease may have taken him from us too soon, it never defined the love he had for his daughters, family, and those closest to him.

Those who knew him will remember his laughter, his stories, his kind heart, and the moments of joy he brought into their lives. He leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever.

Today, we find comfort in knowing that he is finally at peace, free from the struggles he carried for so long, and reunited with loved ones who went before him.

He is survived by his two daughters, Cadence Stephens, Landry Stephens, and bonus-son, Dalton Wheeler; along with many family members and friends who will continue to honor his memory.

Though our hearts are broken, we will carry his love with us always. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

The family will receive friends at Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home on Friday, June 5, 2026 from 11-6:00 P.M.

Memorial service will be held Friday, June 5, 2026 at 6:00 P.M. from the chapel of the Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home.
