Kenneth Dale "Kenny" Compton

Mr. Kenneth Dale “Kenny” Compton, age 78, of Muldraugh, KY, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Judy Ann Schundelmier Compton; parents, Lawrence and Laverne Chapman Compton; a sister, Joan Samuels; and two brothers, Larry and Donnie Compton.

He is survived by his two sons, Terry (Margaret) Compton and Stephen Dale (Jody) Compton, both of Brandenburg, KY; a sister, Sheila Herron; four grandchildren that knew him as “Poppy”, Stephen Bruce (Jeni), Braden, Mackenzie and Case Compton; and two great grandchildren, Emmett and Easton Compton.

Kenny retired from Fort Knox where he was a painter for approximately 40 years. He served multiple terms on Muldraugh City Counsil where he also served on the Safety Committee for several years.

Kenny cherished and loved his family with all his heart.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at the chapel of Hager Funeral Home with Rev. Seth Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Garnettsville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday and from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Thursday.
