Johnny Marion Catledge

Master Sergeant Johnny "John" M. Catledge (Retired), 78, of Brandenburg, KY left this world on Friday, April 18, 2025 at his home.

He was born in Buffalo, South Carolina, to Carol & Ella Catledge and had 11 brothers & sisters.

John was a 26 year long, honorable Army Veteran, who served two tours in Vietnam, as well as in Korea, Germany, and at the Panama Canal. John was an avid and proficient historian, especially when it came to American History.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley J. Catledge, and all of his siblings.

Survivors include his two daughters; Rajina Whitehead of Louisville, KY, Annette Catledge of Brandenburg, Ky; two grandsons, Jayson D. Cody, Jr. of Bealeton, Va., Johnathon C. Buffin of Wallkill, NY; two great granddaughters; and may close and dear friends that will greatly miss him.

A committal service with military honors will be held at 2:30 PM, Friday, April 25, 2025 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY.
