Jimmy William Leezer

James William “Jimmy” Leezer, age 62, of Guston, KY, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY. 

He was born on November 18, 1961, in Louisville, KY, son of the late Henry Barrett Leezer and Doris Jean Hibbs Leezer. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Michelle Elaine Thornton; sister, Cindy Leezer; cousin, Freddie Foster; nephew, Jeremy Leezer; and niece, Destiny Dyer.

Jimmy worked construction for most of his life and enjoyed completing projects for his family and friends. He had a very bubbly personality, and never met a stranger. He loved to “cruise the hood” and was determined to be up and moving. Even if he wasn’t feeling the best, he couldn’t sit still. He loved his family, especially his little buddy, Tyson, and was a friend to all. Jimmy was a loving father, Gaga, uncle, cousin, and friend, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. 

He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Tyler) Douglas, of Elizabethtown; grandson, Tyson Douglas; brother, Wayne (Pam) Leezer; cousin, Debbie Foster; and niece, Shannon (Cody) Mackin.

Visitation will be held at the Alexander Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, from 12:00 P.M.-4:00. P.M EDT. 

Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of the Alexander Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at 4:00 P.M. Cremation will follow.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
