Jannette Marie Hood

Jannette “Janet” Marie Hood, age 57, of Campbellsville, KY, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on June 28, 1968, in Heidelberg, Germany, daughter of Joan Marie Temples Hood and the late Dennis Wayne Hood. Along with her father, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Reanna Hood.

Janet dedicated her whole life to her family and was a mom above all else. She was a constant pillar of support and love to her children, her grandchildren, and every person that she adopted along the way. She was joy in human form, had a smile that could light up a room, and a laugh that made you feel at home. Her unwavering dedication to those she loved will be passed through generations, impacting lives for years to come. Janet was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, and will be dearly missed by all those that knew her.

She is survived by her children, Maegan Devers, Britney (Abby) Lockard, Courtney Hood, Hayley Hood, and Joshua Hood; mother, Joan Hood; sisters, Karen (Mike) Devine, and Carla (Mike) VanOver; brother, Billy Hood; grandchildren, Christian Miller, Levi Jeffery, and La’Niyah Miller; and a host of family and friends that adored her.

Cremation has been chosen by the family and Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
