Janice (Bowling) Wathen

Mrs. Janice Bowling Wathen, age 65, of Vine Grove, KY, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY. She was born on February 16, 1960, the daughter of Harold and Bernice Sims Bowling, who both preceded her in death. Janice had a love of spending time with family, crocheting and crafting. She also enjoyed being at the lake reading a good book.

Janice is survived by her husband, Maurice Joseph Wathen; three children, Eric J. (Patricia) Wathen, Philip J. (Michele) Wathen and Andrew J. (Amelia) Wathen; eight grandchildren, Ethan Joseph Wathen, Aliyah Marie Wathen, Aiden Yokie, Sebastian Yokie, Grace Frazier, Lucas Cade Wathen, Zane Joseph Wathen and Lucy Maxine Wathen; and three siblings, Carolyn (Mark) Hottel, Brenda (Scott) Amstutz and Ronnie (Judy) Bowling.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at the chapel of Hager Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.
