Mr. James B. “Jimmy” Logsdon, age 68, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Baptist Health Hardin. Jimmy was born June 16, 1955, the son of Charles Bennie and Elsie Mae (Bassett) Logsdon.
Jimmy was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He also retired from the Kentucky State Highway Department. Jimmy had a very outgoing personality. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family and watching boats travel up and down the Ohio River. He was also a longtime member of the Brandenburg Moose Lodge, where he formerly served as Governor.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Scott Logsdon; two sisters, Anita Troutman and Rose Betlej; and his brother, John D. Logsdon. He is survived by his wife, Donie Logsdon; five children, Marina Pollock, Jamie (Ashley) Logsdon, Albert (Melissa) Logsdon, Sara (Josh Whalin) Logsdon, Kevin (Lindsay) Logsdon; seven brothers, Charles (Sue) Logsdon, Joe Bill Logsdon, William “Sonny” (Sherri) Logsdon, Richard Logsdon, Larry Logsdon, Mike Logsdon and Frank (Jane A) Logsdon; 19 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, May 20, 2024, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Deacon Greg Beavin officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow in St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until 7:00 PM on Sunday, and from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Monday.
