Here's How You Can Help Wish This WWII Veteran a Happy Birthday...

Brandenburg Nursing and Rehab is asking for your help in wishing a very special resident of theirs a happy birthday in October.

Jim Devoll, a resident at Brandenburg Nursing and Rehab for around 2 years, will be turning 102 on October 18th, 2025 and Brandenburg Nursing and Rehab has a goal to get at least 102 birthday cards to help Jim celebrate.

Devoll has lived a full life in his 100+ years. He served with the Army Air Core for 3 years, which was the predecessor to the Air Force. He was a member of the 54th bombardment squad and felw the B29 bomber in WWII. According to Brandenburg Nursing and Rehab, Devoll was also a world traveler and has a map in his room highlighting all the places he's travelled over the years.

If you'd like to send a birthday card to Jim before his birthday on October 18th, you can mail it to the Brandenburg Nursing and Rehab at 814 Old Ekron Road, Brandenburg, KY 40108. Brandenburg Nursing and Rehab also said that Jim really likes Dum-Dum suckers so they're encouraging folks to send those as gifts as well if they'd like.

Brandenburg Nursing and Rehab did something similar for Jim's 100th birthday in 2023 and received over 500 cards.
