vey Eugene “Gene” Beachy, age 73, of Vine Grove, KY, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at his residence. Harvey was born on June 21, 1953, the son of Harvey Daniel and Marie Miller Beachy.

Gene was a lifelong carpenter by trade. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing Sudoku puzzles, and in the last few years, taking naps. He was a member of Abundant Life Church. Gene truly had a servant’s heart. He found great joy in serving and helping others, not for money or gifts, but just to try to bless their lives if only for an instant.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Sara Myers; his brother, Richard Beachy; and his grandson, Myron J. Leer; and his brother-in-law, Ralph Weaver, and Scott Shannon. He is survived by his former wife and mother of his children, Connie Spillman; three daughters, Melissa Beachy, Crystal Hendrix, and Michele Leer; 10 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; two brothers, Vernon (Ada) Beachy, and Doyle (Terry) Beachy; his mother-in-law, Marilyn Shannon; his brother-in-law, Lynn Myers; his sisters-in-law, Deborah Beachy, Jean Shannon, and Teresa Huffer; along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and his loving church family.

A Celebration of Gene’s life will be held at Abundant Life Church, 1511 S. Dixie Blvd, Radcliff, KY 40160 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM, on Saturday, August 15, 2026. The girls would like everyone to dress casually and wear something that reminds you of Dad. Hager Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
