Flea Kasey

Mr. Ova Lee “Flea” Kasey, age 86, of Ekron, KY, passed away on Saturday, August8, 2026, at his residence. Mr. Kasey was born on August 5, 1940, the son of Roy Wayne and Dorothy Alene (Allgood) Kasey.

Flea was a longtime member of Hill Grove Baptist Church. He was a simple man who enjoyed Sunday drives, people watching from his garage, and watching sports on his TV.

Flea was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 62 years, Sandra Jean, in just February of this year; his daughter, Tammy McCormick; his grandson, Kenneth Dane McCormick; his brother, Kenneth Kasey; and his sister, Shirley Cormier. He is survived by his son, Barry Kasey; six grandchildren, Drew Kasey (Amber) Mills, William Chase (Krista) McCormick, Lindsey Rae (Brandon) Burch, Brayden Michael, Logan James, and Savannah Lee Kasey; three great grandchildren, Reed Kasey Mills, Lainey Lynn and Ellie Rae Burch; his brother, Delbert (Brenda) Kasey; his niece, Melissa Case; and four nephews, Doug (Cindy) Kasey, Ronnie Kasey, Jason (Kat) Cormier, and Troy (Stasha) Kasey.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Jerry Shacklett officiating. Burial will follow in Cap Anderson Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Thursday.
