Mr. Devon Kurt-Patrick Henley, age 24, of Elizabethtown, KY, passed away suddenly on Monday, January 29, 2024, at his residence.
Devon was a 2018 graduate of Meade County High School, where he was an accomplished wrestler and was always very athletic. He was very active and adventurous. He was always up to trying anything and everything and truth be told, would rather be known as “Batman”. He liked playing video games and building legos. Devon’s pride and joy was his daughter, who he cherished spending time with, along with his family and extended family. Devon was very artistic, as well, and liked to listen to and write music. The attributes that always shined through and radiated around him were Devon’s kind soul and funny personality.
Devon was preceded by his mother, Kristin Sowder; his brother, Jake; and his grandmother, Debi Albin. He is survived by his dad and mom, Kurt and Jamie Henley; his beloved daughter, Emory Jo Henley; eight siblings, Dylan, Kaitlyn, Addisyn, Raylee, Serenity, Reece, Makenna and Talon; his grandparents, Mike and Cindy Ware, and Gordon and Bonnie Ritchie; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A celebration of Devon’s life will be held at 6:30 PM on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at Radiant Church, with Pastors Jeff and Dina Hackert officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be held at the church from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Thursday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hager Funeral Home to aid the family with expenses.
