Michael “David” McNutt, 57, of Brandenburg, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Baptist Health Hardin. He was born on September 8, 1967, to the late Michael Eugene McNutt and Mary Lee Pike.

David lived much of his life as an over-the-road truck driver, and he was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a deep love for nature, often spending his time fishing, hunting, and camping. A talented woodworker, David had a special gift for creating beautiful pieces from wood that left lasting impressions. He was also an avid fan of the Kentucky Wildcats and Chevrolet, always expressing his passion for both with pride.

David is survived by his mother Mary Lee (Sonny) Logsdon of Ekron; his step-mother Cindy McNutt of Indiana; his children, Scott (Jason) McNutt and Malinda (Adam) Pile, both of Brandenburg; his sisters, Missy Riggs of Brandenburg and Della (Ron) Thompson of Irvington; his step-brother David Blankenship of Indiana; his fiancé, Connie Druen of Hodgenville; her children, Travis (Kristen) Druen, James (Amber) Bryant, Christy (Travis) Tacey, all of Hodgenville; and twelve cherished grandchildren.

In honoring David's wishes, there will be no formal services. The family has chosen cremation, and Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

David’s memory will live on through the love he shared with his family and friends, as well as the countless beautiful pieces he crafted with his hands. He will be greatly missed.
