David Lee Self, age 62, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away Friday, September 6, 2024.

David was born June 16, 1962 in Louisville, KY to Rena Louise Mills Self and the late Charles Russell Self.  David worked for the Meade County Board of Education and was a custodian at Stuart Pepper Middle School.  He was also a graduate of Meade County High School.

His father Charles Self; grandparents, Charles and Mary Mills and Wallace and Edna Self, brother Timothy Self and uncle, Raymond Self preceded him in death.

David is survived by his mother, Rena Self of Brandenburg; sisters, Theresa Self, Sandra (Bobby) Waters, Rena (Alan) Miller and Karen Troutman; brother, Charles (Carrie) Self; special friend, Patti Riggs and her children, Dylon, Lily, Valerie and Ryder and several nieces, nephews and many great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 11 A.M. EDT until 2 P.M. EDT at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. EDT from the Chapel of Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home. Cremation will follow.
