Claudia Anne Brown

Claudia Anne Brown, 75, of Corydon, died Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana.  She was born October 1, 1948 in New Albany, Indiana.  She was the former owner of H&R Block in Corydon, was a tax preparer with Oaklyn Bookkeeping and Tax Services in Corydon, and was a member of the New Middletown White Cross Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Darrel D. Pate.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, James “Gary” Brown; her mother, Alice M. Higginbotham Pate of Corydon; her son, Michael Cavins of Corydon; her step daughter, Jackie Brown of Brandenburg, Kentucky; and her brother, Robert D. Pate of Corydon.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2024, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Rev. Steve McAfee will officiate.  Burial will be in Fogal Farish Cemetery in New Middletown, Indiana.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, and after 10:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
