Clarence Richard "Rick" Kendall

Mr. Clarence Richard “Rick” Kendall, age 63, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at UofL Hospital in Louisville, KY. Rick was born on May 28, 1961, the son of Clarence Theodore Jr. and Jacqueline Russell Kendall. Rick proudly served his country in the United States Army and considered himself a master joke teller.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Sam Kendall; and his sister, Angela Lynn Kendall. He is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis Kendall; three children, Steven (Nikki) Goins, Darren (Tiffany) Goins and Emily (Ryan) Smith; six grandchildren, Sean, Destiny, Ian, Sophie, Ellie and Luke Goins; two brothers, Roger and Scott Kendall; and his sister, Laura Kendall.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 23, 2025, at the chapel of Hager Funeral Home. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Cap Anderson Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday and from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Friday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
