Belva Joyce Howard

Mrs. Belva Joyce (Bacon) Howard, age 74, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at her residence. Mrs. Howard was born on November 27, 1951, the daughter of James Theodore and Jessie Evelyn (Waddell) Bacon.

Mrs. Howard loved her family deeply and always loved talking to her grandkids and great grandkids. She enjoyed doing crossword and word search puzzles and was very talented in crocheting.

Mrs. Howard was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Royce, Charlie, Wendell, and Kevin Bacon; and her grandson, Michael Anthony Howard. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Albert Lynn Howard; her daughter, Jamie Compton and her husband, Lacy; 11 grandchildren, Darrell Ward, Selina Denton, Caterina Boren, Natasha Cook, Leslie and Waverly Compton, Hailee and Steven Nava, Vanessa, Steven, and Autumn Howard; and eight great grandchildren with one on the way.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Samuel Compton officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Thursday. Burial will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, September 4, 2026, at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff.
