Ann Darlene (Renfrow) Sanders

Mrs. Ann Darlene Sanders, age 80, of Guston, KY, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY.  She was born March 21, 1943, the daughter of Uda Griffin and Catherine Roberta (Shacklett) Renfrow.  Darlene was a long time bus driver for the Meade County Board of Education.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Jimmy Webster Sanders; her son, Jimmy Webster Sanders, Jr.; her grandson, Chase Webster Sanders; and her great granddaughter, Adison Smith.  She is survived by two sons, Tony Sanders and his wife, Mirabel, and Lonnie Sanders and his wife, Michele; three granddaughters, Brooke Vessels and her husband, Charlie, Ann-Marie Sanders, and Amber Kate Sanders; two great grandchildren, Kylee and Charlie, and her sister, Sandy Harrison and her husband, Johnny.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Dan Paddack officiating.  Burial, will follow at 2:00 PM at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, and after 9:00 AM on Thursday.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Meade County Animal Shelter.
