Thelma Dean Singleton

Miss Thelma Dean Singleton, age 86, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023.  Thelma Dean was born September 10, 1937, the daughter of Henry Orville and Viola (Chism) Singleton.



Thelma Dean was a lifelong member of Brandenburg United Methodist Church, where she was a charter member of the IHS Sunday School class.  She was also a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star.  She retired from Civil Service as a Budget Analyst for over 30 years.  She then went on to work for H&R Block for another 20 years.


Thelma Dean was preceded in death by her parents.  She is survived by her cousin, Larry Roberts and his wife Susan, who loved her dearly and cared for her for the last several years.  Also surviving are several other cousins, numerous friends, and her church family from BUMC.


Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Valerie Goins officiating.  Burial will follow in Cap Anderson Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Saturday, and from 12:00 Noon until the time of service on Sunday.  Online condolences may be left at wwww.hagerfuneralhome.com.
