Suspect Wanted In "Dangerous Situation" In Irvington Now In Custody

Police in Irvington have arrested the man wanted in association with Wednesday's public scare.


Early Thursday morning, the Irvington Police Department posted on Facebook a picture of what appears to be Lester Perks, the man police have been searching for for nearly 24 hours.


The suspect allegedly took a hammer to multiple vehicles in Irvington early Wednesday morning, September 9th. Breckinridge County Schools were closed Wednesday and residents in the city limits of Irvington were under a Shelter in Place order from the Breckinridge County Sheriff's Department, as the suspect was believed to be "armed and dangerous."


Early Thursday morning, police were able to apprehend the suspect after he allegedly fired shots at a police officer.
